The catalogue was published in parallel with Patane’s exhibition, The Foreigners Stand Still, held in 2013 at the Fondazione Giuliani in Rome, curated by director Adrienne Drake.
The book can be interpreted as a kind of narration, where each chapter corresponds to a specific work. Through a collage of images and texts, the artist creates a constellation of personal, historical and current events, sometimes invented, that have inspired his works.
